Amazon Kindle - Changing the way we read?

Here's a short but quick post about something that may just change the way we read.   Sounds a bit over-hyped?  Perhaps.  But if you haven't seen this new book, newspaper, magazine and blog reader from Amazon, you're in for something cool.

Amazon has created a device that provides wireless access to their downloadable book library.  It's not dependent on finding a WiFi hot spot, but uses cell like technology, so you can be anywhere with cell service and have access to Amazons online store.  Plus, there is no monthly fee for wireless access.  Amazon provides that free.  Very cool.

What's available?  Currently over 90,000 books (growing by the day), Newspapers, magazines and online blogs.  All available as subscriptions or instant purchase.  A new liquid paper display is apparently very easy on the eyes compared to most back lit displays we are used to seeing.

But don't get your hopes up in getting one in time for the Holidays.  They are sold out and it's likely going to take weeks to get yours.

Log on to www.Amazon.com/kindle/  to watch a video and see what the hype is all about.  (not an affiliate link)

Enjoy!  I know I'll be putting my order in soon.
